Dean Moore will reach a significant club milestone this weekend as he makes his 50th appearance for Suttonians RFC.
Dean joined Suttonians in 2023, earning his first cap against Enniskillen, and has since become an important figure within our Senior Men’s 1st XV both on and off the pitch.
A vastly experienced player, Dean has brought leadership, consistency and professionalism to the senior setup since arriving at the club. Operating in the second row, his experience has been particularly valuable in supporting and developing the younger players coming through the senior ranks.
Dean has also enjoyed plenty of success in Suttonians colours. During his time at the club, he has been part of teams that have lifted both the Spencer Cup and Metropolitan Cup, with the latter secured during the 2025/26 season.
His 50th appearance will come as our Senior Mens 1st Team begin their new competitive season against Athy RFC in the Colm O’Shea Cup, a fixture which brings together the reigning Metropolitan Cup and Leinster Towns Cup champions.

Dean reaches a fantastic milestone this weekend as he earns his 50th cap for Suttonians. Bringing a wealth of experience from playing and winning honours at the highest levels of Irish rugby and beyond, Dean has been an outstanding addition to the club both on and off the field. His professionalism is second to none, setting the standard in how he prepares, looks after himself and maintains his fitness. That commitment has made him one of the most reliable players in the squad and an invaluable example for the younger players coming through.
Away from rugby, Dean is also a fantastic example to his children, demonstrating through his commitment, discipline and longevity what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Week in, week out, he leads by example with his consistency, experience and quality. Reaching 50 appearances is a brilliant achievement and a fitting reward for everything he has given to Suttonians. There is no doubt Dean will continue to be a stalwart of the team throughout the upcoming season and hopefully for many more appearances to come.
