IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE INFORM OUR MEMBERS OF THE DEATH OF GERRY CONNOLLY, BELOVED HUSBAND OF THE LATE TRISH, ADORED FATHER OF FORMER 1STXV PLAYERS GAR AND NIALL, GRANDFATHER TO CURRENT MY SUTTONIANS PLAYERS THEO AND LUCA.
GERRY WAS A GREAT SUPPORTER OF SUTTONIANS OVER THE YEARS AND WOULD BE SEEN REGULARLY ON THE SIDELINE SUPPORTING BOTH HIS SONS. HE WAS A TRUE GENTLEMAN, A GENTLE SOUL WHO WAS QUIET AND SINCERE AND WAS SO RESPECTED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.
WE EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO GAR AND NIALL, THEIR WIVES KAREN AND JEN AND HIS GRANDSONS, THEO AND LUCA AND THEIR EXTENDED FAMILIES.
MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.
The death has occurred ofGarrett (Gerry) ConnollyBayside, DublinConnolly, Garrett (Gerry) - 16th May 2026, (Bayside), Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at Beaumont Hospital.
Beloved husband of the late Trish and loving father of Garrett and Niall. Predeceased by his brothers Paddy and Tom, and his sister Margaret.
Very sadly missed by his sons, daughters-in-law, Karen and Jen, grandsons, Theo & Luca, and nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. "May he rest in peace." Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Wednesday afternoon, May 20th from 3pm to 5pm.Removal on Thursday morning, May 21st to the Parish of the Resurrection, Bayside, arriving for funeral mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
