Great work being done by our under 12’s coaches & players

Our U12 coaching team delivered a well-structured session focused on helping players understand attacking shape, movement, and their roles within the team. By blending an interactive indoor workshop with outdoor practice, the session successfully connected learning with real-game application.

Indoors, cones were used to map out key areas of the pitch, allowing players to clearly visualise positioning and attacking scenarios. Coaches encouraged players to step into roles, ask questions, and work through movements together, building tactical awareness and confidence in a focused environment.

The group then moved outside to put these concepts into action. Players applied their learning at game speed, showing improved support play, better width, and smarter runs as the session progressed.

This combined approach highlights the club’s commitment to player development, ensuring young athletes grow in both skill and game intelligence while enjoying their football. Credit to our U12 coaching team of Stephen Hickey, Simon Sheehan, Roger Warburton, Dermot Smyth & Joey Walsh for their preparation and continued dedication to developing every player.
