Suttonians RFC are proud to announce that our club member Jack Aungier has been named in Ireland’s matchday squad for this Saturday’s Test against Georgia in Tbilisi, marking his senior international debut.

Aungier, a tighthead prop currently playing for Connacht Rugby, began his rugby journey with Suttonians RFC, progressing through the club's youth system up to under-20 level. He also represented @St. Fintan’s High School in the Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Cup. His dedication and talent have now earned him a place among Ireland’s elite, in addition to the elite of SRFC & St. Fintans.

Interim head coach Paul O’Connell has included Jack among four uncapped players on the bench for the opening match of Ireland’s summer tour, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm Irish time at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, come on down and cheer him, oops, them on in the club where it all began.

As a club we are absolutely thrilled to see Jack reach this milestone, he embodies the spirit and values of our club, and we know he will make us proud on the international stage, an inspiration to our great club.

Jack's journey from grassroots rugby to the international arena serves as an inspiration to aspiring players within the Suttonians community and beyond.
